This study discusses student training on the application of ice breaking techniques in building emotional connections among students at STAI Muhammadiyah Blora. Emotional connection is an important aspect of the learning process because it can increase student engagement, motivation, confidence, and participation in academic activities. However, many students still experience difficulties in communication, lack of confidence, and limited interaction during classroom learning. Therefore, ice breaking techniques are considered an effective approach to create a more interactive, comfortable, and enjoyable learning atmosphere. The training was conducted using participatory methods through presentations, demonstrations, group discussions, and direct practice of various ice breaking activities. The participants were students of STAI Muhammadiyah Blora who were actively involved in the training process. The purpose of this activity was to improve students’ understanding and skills in applying ice breaking techniques to strengthen emotional relationships among peers and between students and lecturers. The results of the training showed that students became more active, communicative, and confident in participating in learning activities. In addition, the implementation of ice breaking techniques succeeded in reducing tension, increasing cooperation, and creating positive interactions within the classroom environment. Thus, ice breaking techniques can be used as an effective strategy in building emotional connections and supporting a more conducive learning process in higher education institutions.
